Human Mucin 20 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MUC20 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for MUC20 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-MUC20 Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved with a TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of the stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit is reactive with human samples. Average recovery across five samples each was 91% (range 83–100%) for serum, 96% (range 90–103%) for EDTA plasma, and 94% (range 90–99%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity data at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 were also reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5).
