Human Mucin 1 ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com Human Mucin 1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of MUC1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and is run on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated from absorbance read at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-MUC1 detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to the amount of MUC1 captured in each well. The standard curve covers a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.056 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Sample performance has been validated in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%, average 91%), in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%, average 90%) and in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity values are reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in each matrix.
