Human MPO ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this in vitro quantitative immunoassay is designed for the measurement of human Myeloperoxidase (MPO) in serum samples. The kit uses a quantitative sandwich ELISA format in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human MPO is immobilised on the microplate wells. Standards or samples are added, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody specific for MPO; unbound substances are washed away and streptavidin-HRP is added. The substrate reaction produces colour in proportion to the amount of MPO bound, and the optical density is read on a microplate reader.

The assay has shown no significant cross-reactivity and can measure both native and recombinant human MPO. Reported sensitivity is less than 10 pg/ml and the assay range is 312–20,000 pg/ml. The protocol is straightforward to follow.
