Detection is colorimetric, read on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay workflow with a biotinylated anti-MADH7/SMAD7 detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, for a total assay time of 4h 30m.
