Human Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 4 (MCP4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for MCP4, with detection via a biotinylated anti-MCP4 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative sandwich format has a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 7.8 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 m. Manufacturer-reported spike-and-recovery values were: serum n=5, range 80%–102% (average 91%); EDTA plasma n=5, range 81%–100% (average 90%); heparin plasma n=5, range 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was reported as: serum n=5, 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%; EDTA plasma n=5, 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%; heparin plasma n=5, 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
