Human MMP-7 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MMP-7 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma samples. The kit is based on a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay format, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human MMP-7 is immobilised onto microwells.

Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by addition of a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for MMP-7. After a first incubation and removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. Substrate solution then reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of MMP-7 bound by the immobilised antibody. The colour development is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured by microplate reader.

The assay shows no significant cross-reactivity and can detect both native and recombinant human MMP-7. Sensitivity is 4.90 pg/ml and the product range is 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is reported as 92%. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
