Human MMP-3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MMP-3 in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human MMP-3.

Using a quantitative sandwich ELISA format, a monoclonal antibody specific for human MMP-3 is immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for MMP-3. After any unbound substances are washed away, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. The substrate solution then reacts with HRP to develop colour in proportion to the amount of MMP-3 bound; the reaction is stopped with acid and the optical density is measured on a microplate reader. Detection is colorimetric, with an assay range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <0.30 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is reported at 101%.
