Human Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase 14 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human p38 alpha/MAPK14 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a biotinylated anti-p38 alpha/MAPK14 detection antibody, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and sample concentrations are calculated against the standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.56 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Average recovery values are 91% in serum (n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5), with dilution-linearity ranges reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
