Human Mineralocorticoid Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Mineralocorticoid Receptor in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate where standards and samples are added and the target is captured by the immobilised antibody; detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-Mineralocorticoid Receptor antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration calculated against the standard curve.

The assay has a reported measuring range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Reported average recovery in undiluted samples is 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–99%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%), with linearity data provided across serial dilutions for each matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product is not to be used past its expiration date.
