Human Microfibrillar Associated Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit developed by Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Microfibrillar Associated Protein 4 (MFAP4) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for MFAP4 is pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added and MFAP4 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following washing, a Biotinylated Anti-MFAP4 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The intensity of the resulting yellow product, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the amount of MFAP4 captured in each well.

Stated sensitivity is 0.148 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Average recovery across n=5 samples is reported as 80%–102% for serum, 81%–100% for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same three sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
