Human Methionine Adenosyltransferase II Alpha ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MAT2A (methionine adenosyltransferase II alpha) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-MAT2A detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colourimetric signal read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is <0.057 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Mean recovery in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma was 91%, 96% and 94% respectively (ranges 83–100%, 90–103% and 90–99%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) was 90–99%, 82–108%, 82–96% and 92–103% for serum; 84–105%, 88–94%, 89–107% and 72–106% for EDTA plasma; and 89–92%, 88–108%, 84–102% and 90–98% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C and the assay is intended for use with a colourimetric microplate reader.
