Human Metallothionein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Metallothionein 2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with Biotinylated Anti-Metallothionein Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate; the TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's specification, the product range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.123 ng/ml, and the assay can be completed in 4h 30m. Reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5) are 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions is also documented. Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
