Human Mercaptopyruvate Sulfurtransferase ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human Mercaptopyruvate Sulfurtransferase ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MST (Mercaptopyruvate Sulfurtransferase) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit employs a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) where MST is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-MST Antibody binds the captured target, and HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. A TMB substrate yields a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; the yellow intensity is proportional to the MST concentration, measured at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is <0.058 ng/ml, the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery has been evaluated in serum (80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%, n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
