Human Meprin A Alpha ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Meprin alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated microplate using an antibody specific for Meprin alpha. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; captured Meprin alpha is then bound by a biotinylated anti-Meprin alpha detection antibody, followed by incubation with HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Meprin alpha is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a reported product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 95% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), Wash Buffer 30X (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated in the protocol, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
