Human Membrane Protein, Palmitoylated 6 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this assay is a sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of human Membrane Protein, Palmitoylated 6 (MMP6/MPP6) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format with 12 x 8 well strips and the absorbance is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Standards and samples are added to wells where the target is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-MMP6/MPP6 antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by addition of an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and catalysed by HRP to produce a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of MMP6/MPP6 captured in each well.

The assay covers a working range of 12.5-800 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <3.1 pg/ml and a total run time of 4h 30m. Reported average recoveries are 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5), with dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 ranging between 74% and 108% depending on sample type. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
