Human Melanotransferrin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Melanotransferrin (MFI2/MTf) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with an antibody specific for MFI2/MTf, followed by a biotinylated anti-MFI2/MTf detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the reaction, producing a yellow-coloured product whose intensity is proportional to MFI2/MTf concentration; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include an assay range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <12.9 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery data show average recovery of 91% in serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity has been validated across multiple dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
