Human Melanoma Cell Adhesion Molecule ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CD146 (Melanoma Cell Adhesion Molecule) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CD146; standards and samples are added to the wells and captured CD146 is detected using a biotinylated anti-CD146 antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, and the concentration of CD146 is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 1.21 ng/ml and an assay range of 3.12–200 ng/ml. The complete assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample validation results report average recovery of 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
