Human Melanoma Associated Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human NG2 (Melanoma Associated Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for NG2 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-NG2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added; the resulting yellow product, read at 450 nm, is proportional to NG2 concentration and quantified against a standard curve.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of <0.057 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric, read on a microplate reader, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Reported recovery ranges are 80%–102% for serum (average 91%), 81%–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%).
