Human Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor 1 (MCHR-1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for MCHR-1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and a biotinylated anti-MCHR-1 antibody paired with HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate enables colorimetric detection. The absorbance density is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of MCHR-1 calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit is supplied as a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.109 ng/ml. Reported mean recovery values across n=5 samples are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
