Assay setup uses a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip configuration with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm, with the full protocol completed in 2 hours. The manufacturer states the kit is specific for malondialdehyde with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Reported sensitivity is <4.688 ng/mL, with a stated product range of 7.813-500 ng/mL. Validation data for undiluted samples list average recoveries of 95% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma, and 97% in heparin plasma, while serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) gave recovery ranges of 80-105% across the same matrices.
