Human Matrix Metalloproteinase 14 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Human MMP14 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Matrix Metalloproteinase 14 (MMP14) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for MMP14 is pre-coated onto the microplate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-MMP14 antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The reaction is visualised by addition of acidic stop solution producing a yellow colour, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the resulting O.D. proportional to the MMP14 concentration of each sample.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of <0.63 ng/ml and a measurable range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery has been validated in serum (average 91%, range 83%–100%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 96%, range 90%–103%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 95%, range 89%–102%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample matrices, supporting the kit's suitability for serum, plasma and tissue homogenates.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
