Human Matrix Metalloproteinase 11 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Matrix Metalloproteinase 11 (MMP11) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where MMP11 binds to the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-MMP11 antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of MMP11 captured. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of less than 0.25 ng/ml and a working range of 0.78–50 ng/ml. In spike-and-recovery testing, average recoveries were 91% for serum (range 83%–100%, n=5), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90%–103%, n=5) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89%–102%, n=5).
