Human Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric and performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for MMP1 is pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and samples are added and any MMP1 present is captured by the immobilized antibody. A Biotinylated Anti-MMP1 Antibody is then added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour reaction is read at 450 nm and the absorbance is proportional to the amount of MMP1 in each well.

Specifications include a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.065 ng/ml. The assay takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.
