Human Matrin 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables in vitro quantitative determination of human Matrin 3 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Matrin 3; standards and samples are added so the target is captured by the immobilized antibody, then washed and incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-Matrin 3 Antibody. Following addition of HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, the enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon stop solution; absorbance read at 450 nm is proportional to Matrin 3 concentration and is calculated against the standard curve.

Quoted performance figures include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.117 ng/ml (S1, S3). Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, with colorimetric detection on a microplate reader. S1 reports mean recovery of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (81–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%, n=5), together with linearity results across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.
