Human MARCKS Related Protein ELISA Kit

Offered by Antibodies.com within their Assays and Kits range, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MARCKS Related Protein (referred to as MARCKS Like Protein in the manufacturer's documentation) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for the target is provided as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the analyte is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-MARCKS Like Protein Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.105 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81-101%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity data across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions are also provided in the manufacturer's documentation. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
