Human Mannose Receptor C Type 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative determination of human Mannose Receptor C Type 2 (MRC2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm using TMB substrate, and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Components are supplied with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must be used before its expiration date.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of 0.117 ng/ml and a quantitative working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. The method uses a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate, producing a yellow colour whose absorbance is proportional to MRC2 concentration and is calculated against the standard curve.

Spike-and-recovery data (n=5 per sample type) is provided for serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also reported for these three sample types.
