Human Mannose Phosphate Isomerase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Mannose Phosphate Isomerase (MPI) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm on a microplate reader against a standard curve.

The reported product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml, and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity also reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across these sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.

The procedure uses a biotinylated anti-MPI antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to the amount of MPI captured in each well.
