Human Mannose Associated Serine Protease 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MASP2 (Mannose Associated Serine Protease 2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for MASP2 immobilised on the plate surface to capture analyte from standards and samples.

After a wash step, a Biotinylated Anti-MASP2 Antibody is added followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour, read as O.D. absorbance at 450 nm, is directly proportional to the amount of MASP2 captured in each well. The kit reports a working range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery has been validated in serum (80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%) across sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Lyophilized standards are supplied, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol. Reagents must not be used past the stated expiration date, and a colorimetric microplate reader is required for detection.
