Human Malic Enzyme 2, NADP+ Dependent, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as part of their Assays and Kits range, this immunoassay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ME2 (Malic Enzyme 2, NADP+ Dependent, Mitochondrial). It uses a sandwich ELISA format and is reactive with human samples, including tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance measured at 450nm, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target is captured by an immobilized specific antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-ME2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; the absorbance density is proportional to ME2 concentration, which is calculated against a standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80%, 102%; n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%, 100%; n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%, 89%; n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for all three sample types.
