Human Malate Dehydrogenase 2 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MDH2 (Malate Dehydrogenase 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an immobilised anti-MDH2 capture antibody. Captured MDH2 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-MDH2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue product that turns yellow upon stop solution addition; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and MDH2 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.115 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Included components are a Pre-Coated 96 Well Microplate, Lyophilized Standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers.

Recovery values (n=5) for undiluted samples were: Serum 80% - 102% (average 91%), EDTA Plasma 81% - 100% (average 90%), Heparin Plasma 80% - 89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 respectively gave: Serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA Plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; Heparin Plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
