Human Major Histocompatibility Complex Class II DR Beta 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HLA Class II DR Beta 1 (DRB1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with reactivity confirmed against human samples.

Standards and test samples are added to wells containing an immobilized antibody specific for HLA Class II DRB1, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-HLA Class II DRB1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After washing, TMB substrate solution is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of HLA Class II DRB1 is calculated by reference to the standard curve. The manufacturer reports an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.72 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery values reported are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 90% for heparin plasma across n=5 samples.
