From Antibodies.com, this Human Major Histocompatibility Complex Class I C (HLA C) ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay intended for the quantitative in vitro determination of human HLA C in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate to which an HLA C-specific antibody has been immobilised; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-HLA C detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added and the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader, with the HLA C concentration calculated against the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.12 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit is reactive with human samples only. In validation studies, average recovery was 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was also evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
