Human Macrophage Stimulating Protein ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MSP/MST1 (Macrophage Stimulating Protein) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with antibody specific for MSP/MST1, in conjunction with a Biotinylated Anti-MSP/MST1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a yellow-coloured product proportional to the amount of MSP/MST1 captured, and the reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery values across sample types are: Serum 80%-102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA Plasma 81%-100% (average 90%, n=5), and Heparin Plasma 80%-89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
