A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the quantitative determination of human CD204 (Macrophage Scavenger Receptor 1) in biological samples. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate with a capture antibody specific for CD204, and employs a biotinylated detection antibody together with an HRP conjugate for colourimetric readout at 450 nm using TMB substrate.
According to one manufacturer specification, the assay covers a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.133 ng/ml and is intended for tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. Recovery in serum is reported at 80–102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma at 81–100% (average 90%) and in heparin plasma at 80–89% (average 84%), with linearity demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
A second specification, for a 4-hour protocol, validates the kit for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL and sensitivity of <0.188 ng/mL. This version is reported as specific for CD204 with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants, with recovery in serum of 86–104% (average 97%), in EDTA plasma of 92–105% (average 98%) and in heparin plasma of 86–99% (average 94%).
