Human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1 Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MIP-1 alpha/CCL3 (Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1 Alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and employs a biotinylated detection antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated by TMB substrate and read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. The kit is reactive with human samples only, operates within a measuring range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and has a sensitivity of 5.9 pg/ml. The stated assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery testing reported average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 83%-100%, n=5), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90%-103%, n=5) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89%-102%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
