Human Lysyl Oxidase Like Protein 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Lysyl Oxidase Like Protein 3 (LOXL3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for LOXL3. Standards and samples are added to the wells, captured LOXL3 is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-LOXL3 Antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is used to catalyse a colour reaction with TMB substrate that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and referenced to a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.072 ng/ml, an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. In spike-and-recovery testing with n = 5 samples, serum recovery was 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips, two vials of lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30× wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
