Human Lysyl Oxidase Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of human Lysyl Oxidase Like Protein 2 (LOXL2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) carrying a specific capture antibody, with a biotinylated anti-LOXL2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate used in sequence. Following incubation with TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution, the colour change is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the LOXL2 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%). Serial dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced recoveries within 87%–107% for serum, 79%–108% for EDTA plasma and 82%–105% for heparin plasma. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
