Human Lysyl Oxidase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA), supplied by Antibodies.com, is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Lysyl Oxidase (LOX) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate strips and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique in which an antibody specific for LOX captures the target from standards and test samples, followed by detection with a Biotinylated Anti-LOX Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate.

Quantitative results are obtained by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve. The assay covers a product range of 0.781-50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.33 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the stated expiration date.

Reported recovery performance varies by sample matrix, with averages of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma across tested dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. The TMB substrate reaction produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with yellow intensity proportional to the amount of LOX captured in each well.
