Human Lysophosphatidylcholine Acyltransferase 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Lysophosphatidylcholine Acyltransferase 2 (LPCAT2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay has a standard curve range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.58 ng/ml, with a total incubation time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an immobilised antibody specific for LPCAT2. Standards or samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-LPCAT2 detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. After incubation the reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader; the intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to LPCAT2 concentration. Kit components include lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, stored between +4°C and -20°C as instructed.

Sample recovery in spiked human matrices averaged 91% in serum (n=5, range 80-102%) and 91% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81-101%), and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80-89%). Linearity was demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each) across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
