Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Luteinizing Hormone in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Luteinizing Hormone, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-LH antibody in combination with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a colorimetric signal that is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The quantitative assay range is 0.312–20 mIU/ml with a sensitivity of 0.144 mIU/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and the assay is run on a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Validation data reported with the kit showed average recovery of 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix), with corresponding recovery ranges of 80–102%, 81–99% and 80–89%. Dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions spanned 74–108% across the three sample types tested.
