Human Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor Related Protein 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the quantitative determination of human LRP2/Megalin (Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor Related Protein 2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The standard curve spans 0.625-40 ng/ml, and the kit reports a sensitivity of 0.261 ng/ml. The complete assay protocol runs for 4h 30m.

In the sandwich immunoassay workflow, standards and test samples are added to antibody-coated wells where LRP2/Megalin is captured. A biotinylated anti-LRP2/Megalin detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is proportional to analyte concentration.

Spike-and-recovery performance was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each), with average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively. Dilutional linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same matrices.
