Human Longevity Assurance Homolog 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CerS2 (also known as Longevity Assurance Homolog 2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate onto which an anti-CerS2 antibody has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-CerS2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change proportional to the amount of CerS2 captured in each well, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is <0.061 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported spike-and-recovery values for human serum are 80% – 102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81% – 100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80% – 89% (average 84%), each with n = 5. Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with components to be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed.
