Human Lipase, Monoacylglycerol ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Monoacylglycerol Lipase/MGL in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate. An antibody specific for Monoacylglycerol Lipase/MGL is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Monoacylglycerol Lipase/MGL Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is colourmetric via TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm in a microplate reader.

The assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.059 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4h 30m. The kit is suitable for use with tissue homogenates, with reported recovery data for serum (80-102%), EDTA plasma (81-100%), and heparin plasma (80-89%). Kit components include a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers.
