A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Hormone Sensitive Lipase (HSL) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for the target, with bound analyte detected using a biotinylated anti-HSL antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Stated sensitivity is 0.067 ng/ml with a working assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised: serum (n=5) 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 81–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5) 80–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity has also been evaluated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
