Human Leukocyte Elastase Inhibitor ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SERPINB1/PI2 (Leukocyte Elastase Inhibitor) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) on which an antibody specific for SERPINB1/PI2 is immobilised; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-SERPINB1/PI2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and quantified by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The cited assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.117 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported mean recovery values include 91% for serum (range 80% - 102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81% - 100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80% - 89%), each measured across n=5. Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also reported for each of these three sample matrices.
