Human Leukocyte Cell Derived Chemotaxin 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Leukocyte Cell Derived Chemotaxin 2 (LECT2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with an antibody specific for LECT2 immobilised on the plate. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-LECT2 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and LECT2 concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The kit offers a measuring range of 0.781-50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.25 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) gave a range of 80%-102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% (average 90%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% (average 84%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product must not be used past its expiration date.
