Human Leukemia Inhibitory Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, together with a biotinylated anti-LIF detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated with TMB substrate and quantified by measuring absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative standard curve covers a product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a reported sensitivity of 30.5 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed. Spike-and-recovery testing in n=5 samples averaged 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity data are provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across these sample types. The kit has been cited in one publication exploring the LIF/GDF15 axis as a driver of cancer-associated cachexia in gastric cancer.
