Human Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human LOX-1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate onto which an antibody specific for LOX-1 is immobilised. Standards and samples are added to the wells; captured LOX-1 is then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-LOX-1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The signal is developed with a TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to LOX-1 concentration. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative working range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.060 ng/ml, and the complete assay protocol takes 4 h 30 min. Reported spike-and-recovery performance in human samples gives averages of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%) across n=5 per matrix. Dilution linearity data are also reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
