Human Lecithin Cholesterol Acyltransferase ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human LCAT, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com provides a tool for measuring Lecithin Cholesterol Acyltransferase in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for LCAT pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate, a Biotinylated Anti-LCAT Antibody for detection, and HRP-Avidin conjugate visualisation using TMB substrate solution that yields a yellow product after addition of acidic stop solution, read at 450 nm.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.19 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.468-30 ng/ml. It is run on a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the assay should not be used past its expiration date. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been validated across sample types, with serum showing an average recovery range of 80% – 102%, EDTA plasma 81% – 100%, and heparin plasma 80% – 89%. Dilution linearity data are also reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions.
