Human Layilin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Layilin in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format on a microplate platform with colorimetric detection, and is reactive with human samples.

A monoclonal antibody specific for human Layilin is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standard, samples and an HRP-linked detection antibody specific for Layilin are pipetted into the wells, and Layilin present is bound by the immobilized and detection antibodies following incubation. After washing, a substrate solution is added and colour develops in proportion to the amount of Layilin bound. The colour development is stopped and the intensity of the colour is measured. The kit can assay both native and recombinant human Layilin and has shown no significant cross-reactivity.

Manufacturer-quoted performance characteristics include an assay range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 4.25 pg/ml, and an average recovery of 97% from serum samples. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
